Every year I ask Holland what type of birthday cake she wants? This year she said, “a goose cake” a.k.a. a flamingo cake 😉 I suppose her ideas are where I get my theme inspiration from haha. And, somewhere between flamingoes and geese we chose a swan theme, Swan Lake.
Since her birthday is also New Years Day I always love to incorporate celebrating the New Year too! Happy 2022!
So, I guess when it comes to picking a birthday theme I pick the type of cake first. This was a super simple one. I used a box mix, chocolate of course, easy icing and decor, complete with a pretty feathered swan. My guests were in love and so was Holland.
More sweets? Yes please. I recently found a local cookie maker and I am in love with her designs. She made these custom Swan Lake cookies for us to enjoy and pass out at the party.
Some little powdered donuts with festive stars made out of pipe cleaners. I saw one of my gals pals @tinygirlgang make these using cookie cutters and they came out so sweet!
The biggest hit of the party was the all white bounce house we rented for the day. Omg, we all had such a blast jumping all day long! I am so in love with how these pictures came out such great memories of a perfect Swan Lake kinda day!
