There are so many fun things to do with your little ones that are free! I want to share some of our favorite and free outings that we enjoy. Some of these ideas are seasonal for us like the out door ones because it is blazing hot come end of May and into June accept for right now its pretty warm in February (insert crying emoji). Oh Phoenician problems!
#1. Go to the Library there are so many fun things to do there. This used to be my saving grace when my girls were 2 and 3 they have a great story time for babies and toddlers at our local library. Now that my girls are older we are enjoying the “Engineer Club” on Saturday afternoons. They have such a variety for the kiddos to build with magnets, gears and tinker toys. So fun and they get to be create outside of the home and interact with other kids.
#2. The Mall ok so I know I’m not super original here with this idea, but its on the list “the Mom tried and true” walk the Mall or play in the indoor playground sanity saver. Well maybe this is a new one for you..Our Malls have a Kid’s Club powered by Nat Geo that occurs once a week and includes singing and dancing and a free craft for the kids to do + if you sign up for a free lanyard with your kids name then you benefit from a variety of discounts around the Mall and this includes my girls favorite which is 1 free carousel ride. Bonus!
#3. The Dog Park this one may seem simple if you have pets or dogs and this is something you regularly do I suppose. My girls have been begging for a puppy since they could talk and we are just not ready for that commitment. So my Dad their Grandpa loves to take them to our local dog parks to educate them about different dogs and how to interact with them. When they have Pa Pa time this is the first on their list, “Pa Pa can we go to the dog park?” My Dad has mentioned that many dog owners have praised him for teaching his granddaughters so well about how to pet each dog. So sweet and really have to give my Dad, Pa Pa the kudos on this one!
#4. Phoenix Conservatory of music was an awesome find they have a free Tot’s music time once a week. They get to sing along with one of their music teachers play and learn about instruments. My four year old loves music so when I found out about this we were so excited. We haven’t been to this one in awhile due to the day of the week it falls on, but definitely a favorite of our’s.
I hope this gives you some inspiration and maybe a few new ideas to seek and try in your area. I realize one or more of these outings might not be available in your area and I did get a few requests to add a few more ideas to the list. So without further a do…
Besides living in our pool in the summer, yes its that hot here. I bet you can tell I hate the heat and that’s a BIG yes! To stay cool and again get out we like to hang out at our local splash pad’s. In case you might be wondering what a Splash pad is its a a place where young children can run thru various fountains that shoot up from a soft surface, safe for babies and crawlers too. We have them all over the Valley and even located inside our out door shopping malls. Another idea if you haven’t discovered it yet is Barnes and Noble story time. This is normally once a week at your location and offers 1 to 2 stories read by a store Employee. Our location also hands out cookies and a cute craft to do after.
Our most recent trip to the Library..
