The hubs and I hardly get out these days for a proper date night! I have said this before usually our time together is spent on the couch or snuggled up in bed watching our favorite shows after the girls go to bed. We had tickets lying around for over a month to go see another light exhibit at the Desert Botanical garden so I decided no more excuses we are going on a date! I love everything about date night from what to wear to where we might be going. Most of our dates are pretty simple like going to a Happy hour over at Pita Jungle or maybe to catch a good movie. Honestly it is the time spent together as husband + wife we value the most. I love our family time and we are so blessed with both our schedules that we get to have a lot of quality time together with our girls.
Our Saturday night was such a blast and the weather was so beautiful still crisp at night so we ate el fresco at one of our favorite restaurants, The Gladly. We love everything about this place from the location to the service to the food + drink of course. I’m hoping we left a good impression because we had the same waiter three months ago when we went for my birthday and he still remembered us! They have this amazing chopped salad and its not your cafeteria style chopped salad this concoction has smoked salmon, freeze dried corn, currants, tomatoes, couscous, etc. so good it has it’s own facebook page! Honestly I can’t stop raving about this place if you are ever in the Phoenix area or you live in the Phoenix area go to The Gladly it lives up to its name! So we are laughing having awesome couple time both in one cocktail and half of a chopped salad when we get the phone call from Grandma that our daughter is having a major nose bleed. Here is my hubby on the phone!
Now I’m only mentioning this bit of date night info. because this is “real life” and we are parents of two sweet, little bouncing girls and well it would be a sham to say we don’t have problems or a little girl who is prone to a nose bleed at some of the worse of times! Everything was ok, she was ok and Grandma was ok and it is comforting as parents to know a sweet phone call to talk to Daddy is all that is needed to calm the situation.
What I wore on this beautiful Spring night..

Carried our date off into the night to The Desert Botanical Garden so romantic and the perfect place to pucker up under the stars! I highly recommend checking this place out whether during the day or at night. Really makes for the perfect date night!
