Hi there lately I have been more grumbly than grateful. I mean somehow the kitchen is piling with dishes and the floor scattered with crumbs and crayons ALL THE TIME! I kinda have a handle on laundry, I mean clothes are getting clean, but then the actual putting away process umm yep that reminds me I still need to get on that! So yea I’m left grumbly a lot these days and I forget about all the amazing things I am oh so grateful for. I mean I have an amazing life really, it’s not perfect don’t think that or even easy ha then I probably wouldn’t need to be reminding myself and writing down all the things I’m grateful for. So here’s my list of 15 things I am grateful for. I have this great journal and there it was written on the next blank page 15 things you are grateful for and it hit me stop complaining Nicole and focus on gratitude.
- my husband my partner in crime– Kevin is answered prayer and my soul mate. I am so grateful to be navigating through this at times difficult life with him.
- my two beautiful daughters- My life was given new meaning from the moment we found out I was pregnant for the first time and of course the second time. This is the hardest, craziest most beautiful job on the planet!
- my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ- I am so grateful that God called me to Himself. He saved me from myself and He has given me new life. His riches are so abundant for me that I haven’t even begun to scratch the surface.
- my Mom- I call her my “biggest fan”, she has always been my cheerleader and has stood by me through everything in my life. We have had our head butting moments for sure no relationship is perfect, but I love my Mom and I am very grateful for her.
- my Dad- I haven’t always been close to my Dad however I believe God has restored our relationship in such a beautiful way. I think I am a lot like my Dad and I am truly blessed. I love where our relationship is at today and I love, love watching baseball with my Dad.
- our church- We have been blessed by both our previous church and now our current church. We have always regularly attended church each Sunday and the occasional bible study for over 15 years now.
- Our Pastor- Again I am so grateful for the Pastors in our life. I have learned so much from each one and have grown and healed in many areas of my life.
- a beautiful home- We still live in our first home a.k.a. the Flower casa and I will never forget the day when it became ours. Now this is not our dream home however it has always been a blessing and we have been able to live very comfortably here.
- awesome neighbors- If we were to ever move this would be the hardest part because we have awesome neighbors! Now we don’t know if the saying is true, “you can’t pick your neighbors”, but we wouldn’t want to find out!
- Clara’s school + teachers- We made the decision to go with a Charter school over the public school we could walk to and I am so glad we did. Clara is almost through Kindergarten and I could not have asked for a better teacher. Clara’s curriculum is tough, but her teacher has been beyond helpful getting Clara right where she needs to be.
- a good friend- I would call this girl Charity my bestie, but I haven’t had one since Freshmen year in high school and besides my hubby is my B.F.F. Charity is one of those friends that would take a bullet for you! I have never had a friend more amazing than her. I can tell her anything and I know she is a friend for life.
- good health- I haven’t always been good to my body and I have been down a dark path with anorexia, but God is good all the time and truly restored me and my body. I enjoy taking care of myself and making healthy choices for my family.
- women’s bible study- I love the women at my bible study and it is so amazing the things I have learned from God’s word and from studying with other women.
- grateful to be a WAHM- I am so grateful that I have been for the most part a WAHM. I have been at this gig for 6 years now and it is not for the faint of heart. I have probably been the best Mom and the worst Mom over the course of this time. I still think it was the right choice to spend most of my time at home with my girls. Hopefully when they grow up and reflect back they will feel the same.
- to have all my senses- Ok this may have you like, huh? But hear me out..I can’t imagine not being able to see a sunrise or sunset or my girls smiling up at me or that gorgeous butterfly gliding by. I can’t imagine not being able to taste or feel or even hear my favorite song on the radio with my girls giggling in the back.

I am 100% grateful for these things and I am reminded of God’s creation all over again and I am oh so grateful..What are you grateful for? I am so glad I made a list and kinda a long list because it made me feel so good to count my blessings. 🙂
